
Ingredients
- 1 onion diced
- 2 Carrots diced
- 2 yams/sweet potatoes
- 1 swede/turnip peeled and diced
- 1 parsnip diced
- 1 cup split peas soaked overnight
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
- 1 cup stewed tomatoes
- 1 cup cooked chick peas
- 1 tsp Salt
Servings: 4
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a casserole dish with just enough water to cover.
- Simmer on low until vegetables are very tender.
- Remove bay leaves and serve.
